I am a clinical social worker with a decade long commitment to providing culturally specific services to the local African American community.  

I attended Portland State University’s undergraduate and graduate programs, earning a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice with a minor in Black studies and a Master of Social Work degree.  In 2013, I met the requirements to become a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Oregon.  

For more than 30 years I have worked with juvenile delinquent youth and their families.  Most of those years have been dedicated to providing individual and family therapy.  I am clinically trained and certified in evidence-based models including multidimensional family therapy, multisystemic therapy, crisis management and Wraparound (fidelity model).  I also bring knowledge of systems of care, social determinants of health and trauma informed care to my work with clients.  

Prior to opening my private practice, I worked in various social service and therapeutic settings including California Youth Authority, Oregon Youth Authority, Sacramento Probation Department, Multnomah County Department of Community Justice, Juvenile Court, Multnomah County Mental Health and Addictions, as well as other Portland community-based organizations.
